This Thanksgiving, I decided I was not going to cook a traditional meal because we were working on remodeling the bathroom. I had plans for company coming the Sunday and Tuesday following Thanksgiving, so I didn't feel like overwhelming myself with a huge meal. We did however, make a delicious breakfast that morning. Joe cooked his mountain mash (breakfast casserole) and coffee cake out in the dutch oven. The kids enjoyed watching him cook!
The kids watched the Thanksgiving parade while Joe and I worked on the bathroom. I did feel bad because I didn't prepare a meal for the kids, but our sweet neighbors without knowing, brought us a portion of their Thanksgiving dinner! It was delicious! So, without having to cook, we did end up having a traditional Thanksgiving!
