This past weekend, Mom, Dad, the kids and I traveled to southern Oklahoma to visit with family and spend time camping. Our first stop was Lake Texhoma near Durant.
Lake Texhoma
Grey and Papa walked down to the lake to skip rocks. The weather was very windy the night we got there, but turned for the better the following day!
This is what we woke up to the first morning...
How beautiful...there's something so peaceful about fog on the lake. It was so quiet!
As I was taking these pics, fish were constantly jumping out of the water. It was a perfect morning to...
...go fishin'!!!!!!
Papa made a neat-o fishin' pole out of a stick!
How sweet! I had Grey wear his Daddy's camping jacket for this picture!
Isn't he a cutie!
Joleigh wanted to get involved too!
She wanted to wear Daddy's camping shirt too!
Grey was watching Papa very closely as he was breaking sticks for our fire pit. He wanted to try too!
Joleigh loved listening to Aunt Dean read to her!
Papa, Gamma, and the kids are sitting in front of the camp fire the second morning we were there!
The clouds were spectacular that morning...
These next two pics are of the same clouds but in two directions. These cylinder clouds stretched from one end of the sky to the other!
Tipping the scales!
We turned Joleigh's car seat around for the first time! She is now 20 lbs! She loved it!
Our campsite the morning we left. We had a great time at Lake Texhoma!
Red Rock Canyon State Park
On our way back home, we decided to stop at a half way point so that the trip wouldn't be so hard on the kids. We are glad we found this beautiful state park!
Roastin' Hot Dogs...Yummy and Fun!
Joleigh wanted to roast dogs too!
Roastin' marshmallows for s'mores! Extra yummy and extra fun!
Here's our campsite...the fall foliage was beautiful!
This is what we saw in the morning!
My sweet kids!
Grey and I climbed a "huge" rock wall while we waited on Papa to hook up the trailer! While up on the rock, this is what we saw...
So pretty!
Joleigh wanted to climb too!
We had a great weekend! The kids had a blast and we can't wait for another trip with Gamma and Papa!
