The Christmas Train...All Aboard!!!!

Last night, we surprised the kids with a trip to...
...a Christmas train!
A church in Alvin (small town by Pearland) has built a Christmas Wonderland train tour. This is the 11th year for the Christmas train to run and from what I understand, over 1000 people come each night it's open! What a wonderful ministry!
The church has a wonderful display of the North Pole and Santa's Workshop inside the train depot. The place was decorated beautifully - I felt like I was in the North Pole!
While waiting for our train to arrive, we took a tour of our own around North Pole and discovered...
...a Christmas model train display! Grey was completely fascinated - he could have stayed there for hours just watching the trains go by!

This was only part of what he saw. The train display included a Christmas village with a lake, a beautiful carousel, hot air balloon, Nutcracker display. It took up one side of the room! It truly was amazing!

Daddy and Joleigh liked it too! (You can see the cable car on the middle left)

Then it was time to ride the train! We were ready!!!!

Joleigh was getting a little tired at this point!
But, we saw...

...a beautiful lake surrounded by lights,

an awesome light tunnel

a Christmas tree display,

a gingerbread town, and so much more! All along the tour, we read billboards about the story of Christmas...JESUS!!!!!!!

And then, we got to visit Santa. Grey started to tell Santa what he wanted even before Santa was ready to listen to him. It was cute. Joleigh...well, she wasn't too sure of Santa.
Afterwards, we walked along a beautiful light path along the lake to a pizza house.
Grey got to decide what kind of pizza we ordered...pepperoni!

It was good!

Then, we got kettle corn...that was delicious too. Grey and Joleigh were sharing so well!

We had a wonderful time! I recommend this tour to everyone who lives around the area!
