Grandma & Grandpa Marney

This past weekend, we flew to Oklahoma to visit Grandma and Grandpa Marney and Aunt Nikki! Joe's parents drove up from Dumas to meet us there! We had a wonderful visit with everyone! Grandma and Grandpa both have been dealing with health issues so they are staying with Aunt Nikki until they are better! Aunt Nikki, caring for them both, (which she is doing a very good job) is also trying to regain her strength. Grandma and Grandpa looked well, so I know that they were feeling a lot better than they had been the previous weeks.

When we were about to leave, Grey and Joleigh were crying, but we still wanted a quick picture with Bobbie and Pop-Pop. We couldn't get a picture without them crying so...
If you can't beat them...

why not join them! : )
(Fun picture of Gary and Lora crying along with them!)

Joleigh loved playing with a couple of doilies that Aunt Nikki had on a chair. She would pick them and throw them over and over again...Aunt Nikki, seeing this, gave Joleigh the doilies to keep! What a special gift! We will treasure these forever.

Bobbie and Joleigh...what a sweet picture!

Grandpa Marney and Aunt Nikki consoling Joleigh. (I think she was getting hungry.)

I thought this was a sweet picture of Grandma Marney even though you can't see Joe and Joleigh. She was laughing with Joleigh!

It was a busy day for the kids. We flew up to OKC early Friday morning, drove to Enid (1.5 hours) and visited, then drove back to the city that evening to meet up with Joe's cousins to have supper with them. The next morning, we tried to catch a flight back to Houston, but because of an issue the day before, the flight wasn't opened, so we had to rent a car to drive back to Houston! We knew this was going to be a hard drive for the kids, but surprisingly, they did very well! Joleigh slept quite a lot, and Grey slept a little, but when they were awake, they found new ways to interact with each other! The trip took us a little over 9 hours, because we had to stop for Joleigh at different times, as her nursing schedule was a little off. But that was OK, overall we had a great road trip together!

We bought Grey a viewmaster. He loved it!

Here are a couple of videos of Grey and Joleigh during our trip! So cute! Grey and Joleigh are starting to interact more and more! In the second video, Grey was playing with Joleigh and getting her involved in a game!
